Swing Voters
“Can you feel the love tonight?” were the first words out of Congresswoman Michele Bachmann’s mouth as she took over the stage physically and metaphorically. The highest energy, inspiring motivator of them all had arrived.
“Oh we are feeling so great,” she continued with the same level of enthusiasm. “What an exciting day that we’ve had. We heard from John Kline: when you need some help you send in the Marines. Yay John Kline.”
Bachmann then went on to acknowledge all the other candidates one by one, whether they spoke or not. Every name got out, followed by applause.
She didn’t miss a beat when switching to the GOP goals. “On November 3rd, on Wednesday morning, we can open up the Star Tribune, the Pioneer Press, every paper across the state and see that we can have the Governorship, we can have the House, we can have the Senate…it is more than possible. We are right on the bubble. Are we going to make it happen?”
Then… Bachmann revealed remarkable news “Let me read to you one of the top stories on the Drudge Review… “Swing Voters Are Flocking to the GOP!” she related.

“Some of our friends in the news media want us to think we are dumb and we are going to lose,” she added. “Now listen to this: Independents seem to be breaking sharply for Republicans in the final days of the campaign.” Reports indicated that Republicans could pick up as many as 70 U.S. House seats, Bachmann added.
Just when no one thought it couldn’t get any better, it did. Bachmann had still more heartening news. “One Democrat who’s been in his seat for 14 terms which means 28 years who was up twelve points just last week right now is neck and neck with his opponent. Another one in New Jersey. Eleventh term, twenty-two years back to back with a Tea Party candidate. But this is the best of all. I never cracked this open. It says that Independents are behaving like Republicans….
From Maine to California. From Florida to Washington. All the way to Alaska and Hawaii. We are picking up seats no one ever thought we could do and Minnesota will be no exception.”
