Send Governor Dayton a Pen to Sign the Budget Bill

Friends,
I write this in urgency. We are debating the Legacy bill and have been for hours. Another filibuster by the DFL and carbon dioxide is filling the chambers is an alarming rate. Seriously, in 15 minutes we will be going into OVERTIME. OVERTIME because Dayton is not here – he’s out of the Capitol having a good time somewhere while Minnesotan’s are left wondering about the future of the State.
Have no fear though – MN GOP Caucus has passed a balanced budget WITHOUT raising taxes. We kept our promise to you that we would work the government checkbook like you do at home. We have lived within our means and did not kick the can down the road. It’s a new era in politics and I am proud. I am proud that Minnesota’s future is bright.
However, where is Dayton? He is absent as I type this update to you. He left his duties and we are adjourning tonight without him signing the bills. So I ask you to please send a pen to Governor Dayton and ask him to sign the bill because I think he may have misplaced his. He needs your help and a pen from you will go a long way.
Attn: Governor Dayton

Thank you!!!!
