Michael Brodkorp, Deputy Chair of the Minnesota Republican Party then shared his feelings about the 2010 election. “You’re 72 hours away from the most important election that Minnesota has ever had,” Brodkorp proclaimed. “Are you going to work hard?” he inquired, and was rewarded with deafening screams of affirmation.

Minnesota GOP Convention Day 2: Tom Emmer Endorsed for Governor

Tom Emmer received the GOP endorsement for governor following two rounds of balloting at the convention Friday. I couldn’t make it to the convention myself, but beginning at noon I was able to follow the action via Twitter and the live video feed via MNGOP.com. Early on, mngop tweeted, “Emmer, Haas, Herwig & Seifert all signed the pledge to abide by the endorsement of the convention.” Unity has been an important message at the convention.

Minnesota GOP Convention Day 1 Results

On the first day of the Minnesota GOP convention, three important seats were endorsed: Chris Barden for attorney general, Dan Severson for secretary of state and Pat Anderson for state auditor. Dan Severson and Pat Anderson were both endorsed by RogueOn Minnesota several weeks ago; Chris Barden threw his hat into the ring just a short time ago.

March 24th Update for 2010 State Convention

The Republican Party of Minnesota is working towards a successful 2010 State Convention. The Rules Committee, chaired by Deputy Chair Michael Brodkorb will meet tomorrow night, Thursday March 25 at 6 pm at Party headquarters in St. Paul.
